When all is said and done, CCS is a design school. It's name is very highly though of in Industrial design and graphic design circles, and its reputation is growing such diverse fields as animation, and interior design. Its crafts departement, although expensive by anyones standards is also well looked at. I would reccomend students to look elswhere if interested in pursuing more traditional fine arts majors, (painting, photo, sculpture). Although these programs are getting better and better, their departements lack the clout to really push their students onto the greater scene, as more estabilished fine arts schools would (Pratt, maryland, RISD, comes to mind). As an industrial designer I couldnt have been happier with the education that I received. The workloads in this departement are insane- but for those with the interest, and drive for it, it is an experience second to none.
