I majored in polisci. While the polisci degree didn't really open the door into the political field (which I'm in), it certainly gave me a valuable information base, re: theory, quantitative and qualitative analysis, etc., that did help me in my career. More importantly, the academic atmosphere at UNT encourages intellectual growth. Additionally, I found Denton to be the perfect setting for a college social life and the development of life-long friendships. as has been pointed out by other respondents, Denton has a great music scene, and the community "feel" of the campus (with loads of clubs and other gathering places within a few feet, literally, of the campus) is something that sticks with me nearly 20 years on. All in all, I value the time I spent at UNT, both from an educational, intellectual and social point of view. |
