I started my internship with a basic knowledge of the optical industry. That allowed me to apply for positions either in optometrists offices or in an optical laboratory making the glasses. Having the knowledge from school helps me to train for new positions easily and I can do any facet of making glasses or dispensing them. I can also help explain problems to others through what I've learned.
