I transfered out of this "school" after my first year. During my first year, I was almost killed (literally) by a fan falling 10 stories out of a window and an acute allergic reaction to the cafeteria's food (I wasnt given any slack for missing my finals despite the fact that bcpd drove me to the hospital). My roommates were either high or picking fights with each other. The only positive was that the school was very into football (so much that theyre still riding on the success of Doug Flutie) and thats only a positive if you like football. There's close to nothing to do unless you're 21. If you're into helping people, and not into the drug scene, don't bother joining their volunteer clubs…they're potheads too and I think one of them was a stipper as well. My writing professor gave me Ds on everything I wrote, but when I submitted the same works to a magazine (I'd better not say which), I was offered a job. The science classes were o.k, but the labs sucked. A d.n.a. experiment we worked on failed due to the T.A.'s lack of concentration (not just my goup, the whole class). The dorms get unusually hot during the summer (brick buildings—little ventilation) and only a few buildings have a.c. You have to take a bus to get from the freshman campus to the main campus which isnt too bad, but it gets annoying. The bus drivers were nice enough. However being seperated from the rest of the students means that the only people you're around are your dormmates. In my experience, this was a place for rich people to dump their kids for four years where they spend most of their time tailgating at football games, getting high/drunk, and sleeping through class.
