Most of my classes were a joke, I felt like I was taking classes in the junior high resource room. I also got the chance to correct papers for a class and could not believe how dumb some of the students were. They could barely read or write. Most of the athletes I have talked to have never taken the act or sat. Test days were a personal favorite of mine. After cramming all night long the questions consisted more or less of "what is your name?" "how will the broncos do?" ETC.. Hey! I'm paying for these classes I deserve better. I found the faculty arrogant and the administration uncooperative. Some professors I had would schedule a special class meeting early in the morning and then never show up. This happened quite a few times especially in recreation classes. English was also a joke. I spent a whole semester corecting "newsweek" magazine for grammatical errors. That is all we did for the entire semester. It didn't even make any sense. Doesn't the magazine have editors for this type of thing? I could go on and on about the pitfalls of this university- the food is poor- the athletics suck (no football team)-the town doesn't support the school-poor office communication-quite a few rich, dumb kids who couldn't get into college anywhere else-social scene is dead-student activites are poor… I wised up and transferred out. I did not want to see the schools name next to my own on my resume. Remember kids USC is only in it for the money, they could care less about you. |
