My experience at Ramapo was extremely positive. There is a wonderful system in place that allows students to participate and be engaged in campus life. There are a tremendous number of campus organizations to become involved with for fun or to further a possible career. The faculty, aside from being at the top of their field (95% with a PhD), actually know you by name! It still blows my mind that I, as a student, was mixing with world renowned scholars at this small place in North Jersey. I made connections with a few faculty members, in particular, which directly affected my post-graduate job and education situations (in a good way).I have been able to stay in North Jersey and remain involved with the College as an alum. There is so much more offered to students now than only 5 years ago (and it was great then). I'm talking in terms of academic programs, on campus living facilities, access to NYC, and a steadily improving reputation that makes my degree mean more everyday. Yet, the reasons I chose Ramapo (small classes, faculty interaction, beautiful campus) have been preserved.I would recommend Ramapo to any strong student with a desire to attend a medium sized college in a suburban setting. Compared to the other state colleges, in my opinion, Ramapo truly offers the most opportunities. |
