UConn is great for some people and not desireable for others. If you want a small school where attention is paid to you at every second; then this isn't the place for you. If your going to complain how it is in a rural setting, about the cold weather in the winter, or about how much people like to party then its not for you either. UConn, is, however, a great place to meet great people and party your ass off in the process. Student following for the men's and women's basketball teams and also the quickly rising football team is almost an obsession (which is great if you love sports). Storrs is definately a boring town, but there are plenty of parties around to make up for it. The bar scene could use some help though. The University is going through an unbelievable $2.3 billion dollar transformation during which every building on the campus will eventually be re-done or re-built completely. The new buildings are plentiful and state of the art. The education is very well respected and rising every year with school improvements. This #1 public university in New England has that title for a reason. |
