Everyone here is out to have a good time. Many of the students dont care about their education, all they want is a C grade. That type of attitude makes it hard for those who actuallty do something while they are here. If I had the opportunity to go somewhere else, I would. Mnay of the faculty are brain washed into thinking there is nothing wrong with the quality of the school. There is something that has kept me here, that is the relationship factor. Being at Cookman does make you feel that you are a part of something that benefits the blacks that come here. Being at an HBCU, you are viewed as a second rate student, when that is not always the case. I went to one of the most prominent high schools in the country, Xaverian, and I was smarter than many of the stundent there. Some of the courses in the School of Business at Bethune-Cookman are second to none(Especially the accounting department). After reading some of the reviews of other schools, I have realized that the one-on-one training that I get is a huge advantage. Unfortunately that negative of the school make me feel as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. |
