I do wish that I had explored more into other Colleges and or Universities before making the decision to attend this school. After completing my first year at the Mount I'm left with mixed emotions about the college. My first semester experience was not a very good one academically. I like many other first year students who have never lived outside home; I had to adjust to being away from home family and friend (this was very difficult for me). Dealing with money problems at home and the pressure of doing well in school I cracked. The pressure was tremendous and as a result my grades began to slip. Before I knew it I was failing and the semester was almost over. Through all of that I still don't feel that my failure was completely my fault. I had a professor who made my situation all the more worse. I came for one of the best schools in my home state and graduated with an A so going into the college unlike others I had my priorities in order. This particular Professor made my first year college experience HELL. The advice I would offer an entering freshman anywhere is to listen to the upper classmen and ask around about their professor' before taking the class. Student's recommendation about professor can be the best one's. |
