I can personally say that my life has been changed because of the experience I had there. Eckerd opened my heart, my mind and my consciousness to the realities of the world, the understanding of myself and my place in the world. I transfered from a state university to Eckerd and I can personally attest that my learning took a different direction at Eckerd. Eckerd does not process cookie cutter students, but rather adults that are willing to work towards change, willing to think outside of the box and destined to lead rather than follow. I have made life long friends with both my peers and professors. I have traveled internationally with Eckerd and have met diverse people from all over the United States and the world. If you are looking for a school that you can slide by and not get involved than Eckerd may not be for you. To really experience and enjoy Eckerd you must be willing to consider new ideas and philosophies and must be open and motivated to learning and discovery. Eckerd really changes lives and you have a lot of fun along the way! |
