This place is serious about science and engineering, you may have more fun at another school but you can have just as much here if you try. Plus if you actully buy into the courses you really will become a great engineer. In addition to this the connections you make with people is invaluable. If you are worried about the social life visit campus and hang out with the people; I found that I could identify with many students and this allows me to have a enjoyable social life.
