Seriously though, I attended three colleges to get my degree. A community college in NY, an undergraduate in Springfield Mass and (More Cash Please And the Headache Starts) =>MCP/AHS. I really don't know who enjoyed going to that school. Many of the 3rd and 4th year teachers have outdated notes, recycled tests and reward a memorize and regurgitate technique to learning. If it wasn't for working in the field as a student, I would have quit a long time ago. As for practical experience, Northeastern offers co-op where you work full time on a site that has something to do with your major, at MCP you graduate with classroom experience and a step behind. I actually had a preceptor tell me "You're a pretty good student, MCP students are usually nightmares." Also as far as value goes, MCP is a bit worse than Enron Stock, and real estate at the bottom of the ocean. There is very little on campus housing, NO PARKING, rude financial aid personnel and little to no satisfaction. I actually know of one dean at MCP who was dismissed because he refused to overfill classrooms for the sake of making an extra buck. When administration penalizes those who act in the best interest of the students, where do you think thier priorities are? There were some quality professors at MCP during my 5th and 6th years, fortunately for me I work with them now. Unfortunately for current students, those teachers are no longer available to you. MCP politics in an effort to protect sub-standard professors have eliminated the students ability to be exposed to three of the best cardiology, oncology and critical care pharmacy specialists in the area. It is typical for MCP to shoot themselves in the head to protect their noses. I could go on and on, hopefully other MCP alumni and students will contribute thier opinions to prevent promising students from wasting thier money and time at that shizl factory. Although it is an unscientific study, nobody I graduated or know from MCP will donate money to them, WOULD YOU????? |
