I would recomend to High School Students and College Students that you will want to try and specialize in a field of study as much as you can. I went to college with an undecided major like most students do and ended up getting a general business degree which did get me a nice job straight out of college. Now with the job market not up to par you really need to be specialized in a field to land the better jobs. Figure out what degree you want to attain and then see how you can stand out in that field either by taking specific classes or attaining certificates or certain titles for that degree. Also do some studying and research on the economy and the way everything is heading before you decide on your major. By doing this you will see what markets are hiring and at what level. A college degree in almost any field will get your resume looked at but if there is a way to stand out you are ahead of the game. Do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions. |
