This is a great school if you're planning on following an extremely narrow route to your anticipated career goal. Juillaird's music department is great for private study; however, I wish there were not so many orchestras here. We're always changing around, and hardly have enough time to "really" get to know our musical colleagues. This is a small conservative school—with a corporate business feel. Not the school to attend if you're looking for lasting relationships (unless you're the next Yo-Yo Ma or Miles Davis). Obviously, there are many positives about Juilliard, but actually attending is risky business—if accepted, visit the school, take a few lessons, and please ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! |
