Its truly like middle school all over again. The student body is filled with kids who barely made it through high school and are just doing something so their parents won't cut them off. The faculty is either hit or miss: great or awful. Its impossible to see the same academic advisor twice, because they are always quitting. Registration is a joke as well. TA's and students run the registration office and it is a complete mess. Never tell them they did something wrong or you won't live to regret it. I had a friend who was signed up for a 300 level singing class. Never mind that he had never taken the pre-requisite classes, and that his major had nothing to do with music, they didn't want to let him switch the class. I attended 3 semesters before quitting. I had a 4.0 GPA and I only attended class about 25% of the time, and didn't even buy any books my last two semesters. If you are financially strapped like I am and need to earn an AA, go anywhere else!! Even if it takes you 10 years to get you're bachelor's, you'll know that you are somewhere where at least some of the people want to be there. |
