College of Arts and Sciences. Why? Because I chose to be proactive about my course selections, the profs who taught them and became an active learner by participating in class discussions. The quality of class instruction and lectures was outstanding. My profs hailed from some of the finest universities in the country-Yale, Duke, Univ of Chicago etc., were easily accessible, very supportive and truly dedicated to their disciplines. The psychology department was particularly strong. I highly recommended fieldwork assignments and internships as a means to narrow your field of vision for your future career choice. Do not be afraid to try upper level coursework outside of your major. I took a several political science courses, a religion course and lit course that have truly enriched my educational experience. |
