There are a few students who shine, but their numbers are far too few. In my opinion there is not enough room at Emmanuel for the entire faculty to do their own research and have their own labs, so I had to do research at another local university. I did find that the faculty fully supported my decision and helped me out quite a bit. I am a huge fan of the faculty in the psychology department and I can see both the psychology and biology department expanding in a most encouraging direction. I am excited for the new students who are entering Emmanuel because of the constant search for exemplary faculty. If I could choose another college again I think that I might not choose Emmanuel because of that lack of motivation that I have seen in the students, but I do believe that it is getting better. Also, to all those who are considering going to college, college is what you make of it, and if you are determined to do well you will no matter where you end up. Good luck. |
