This school is known for engineering, architecture, and nursing. If you are coming from out of state, reconsider your decision before coming to MSU-Bozeman, especially going from city life to bozeman life. Honestly, there isn't much to do in Bozeman, and don't expect any concerts or shows, at least any good ones (..unless you like Kid Rock)…But don't take my opinion, I'm probably considered a music snob. While there is an outdoor scene and a clean environment, I've seen more beautiful places than Bozeman..but it could of been the ultra-conservative people that turned me off to this place. The skiing/boarding is great if you drive 45 minutes to Big Sky, MT..the local resort doesn't have much to offer, but it's decent. If you are an avid skier, go to colorado or utah. If you like big noisy trucks, chewing tobacco, President Bush, video games, and small laid-back towns, this place might be for you..but I know it's not for me, and many other out of state students that are leaving this year. Good Luck on your college search! |
