You do not get hundreds of students in your basic classes, I believe that max per class is usually 40, but by end of semester it is usually 10 or 15. The staff will help you with whatever you need help with. If you take a language [Which I do, since I'm a Spanish Education Major], the people in the Language Lab are very, very helpful. I have heard some problems with instructors in the Math/Science departments [have not had a math or science class yet], because their English isn't very good, but I will find out next year about this. Since this is a commuter college, there are not a ton of extra-curricular activites, but the newspaper, www.owensoutlook.com, is GREAT. The advisor is great as well, as are the editors. Oh yea, good luck on parking the first few weeks. It is very conjested. And, if anyone is looking into the PSO program, and going to Owens. Go! I am only 16, and this is my first year, and I absolutely love it!!! |
