The GOOD things:

  • Excellent reputation the really does open doors and gain recognition.
  • Intellectual people… there are bright and interesting students and profs at this university- no question about that.
  • location- although Kingston is small for anyone that doesn't come from a rural setting it is in close proximity to toronto, ottawa and montreal which makes roadtripping and going home a feasible option for many ontario students.
    • the BAD things:
  • rich kids- yes, every stereotype you have heard about private schools, WASPs, image and lack of real diversity is all true. I wouldn't say these kids rule campus life, but they certainly are present make no mistake about that.
  • residence- we pay one of the highest residence fees in ontario for crap! sure, watts is nice but the older residences are terrible, plus the food is appalling. Despite the constant pressure of students to re-vamp the current meal plan/ dining facilities, nothing is being done.
