From super star faculty to some "super star" -so they think- students, it has many elements and potential to be a great school. Its faculty developed my ability to constructively criticize visual art and design. Students are serious -although some are just there for the ride, as any other program- and talented. Probably because of their extensive scholarship programs, and agressive recruitment they are able to get actually talented young artists. However, I honest have learned very little from its program. It offered really nothing to help me to prepared for the real world. Everyone thinks they'll be the Matthew Barney, when in reality it's not how that works. The career center lacks information on how to do to have a career in the arts, and what you can do wih your major, but only focuses on methods to promoting art work -for mid-career artists. |
