This is a school in which if you stick long enough, beyond Freshman Transition Week, it will grow on you and you will soon learn to love and appreciate the "LINCOLN PRIDE…" The great thing about this school is the family atmosphere you get here from your peers and professors. Many of the professors here treat you as they would their own kids as far as making sure you understand and know the material and even with your personal issues. Concerning relationships among peers, be open and get to know people. Just like anywhere there are the non-sociable ones and the outgoing ones. WARNING!!! If you come to Lincoln there will be a lot of homosexuals that you will encounter so watch out for them, and do not be surprised. Lincoln is located in the middle of nowhere in the middle of cornfields and farms, cows and horses…all of that….basically its very rural and philly is an hour away. The good part about it is that there are a lot of activities on campus almost everyday and there is bus transportation to Walmart and anywhere else you might want to go. Just for your information, Lincoln should have a football team and a Marching band by next year and move up to Division 2 so the athletic department is just continuing to move up higher and higher. As far as academics, the work here is "college work" but nothing that will kill you. The work here has purpose and almost everything you study here is applied to the world of work so you are ready to work with anyone anywhere in this world at anytime. The school does a good job of easing you right into the tough stuff and providing tutorial help. Some advice for freshman women, this school has in the past and even now continued to develop GREAT LEADERS of all sorts and so when you come here don't short change yourself and waiste your money by falling into any man or "woman"'s games. Also, the values and morals that you learn from home… don't only bring them here, hold true to them because if you are not careful, (this is in any college) you will lose it. Lastly, love yourself, be yourself, and respect yourself and as long as you want to succeed Lincoln will help you. "LU!!……LINCOLN PRIDE!!!!, 1-8-5-4 FIRST HBCU FOR SURE!!!"
