As with any other big school, there are plenty of resources for you to excel but you are on your own to seek them out. Professors are generally friendly and approachable. In my opinion, the first two years of EE is mainly busy work. I had good preparation in high school, AP calc, physics etc. and it was mostly review for me. The last two years of EE has a lot more interesting/useful courses. There is a lot of flexibility in the program, perhap too much. Its possible to gradudate with an EE degree without taking any real EE courses such as Communication System, DSP etc. However, these classes are available to you. If you are motivated enuough to take them, the quality is comparable to any top notch program in the country. |
