Its a good place to send your daughter to keep her out of trouble in other words. Good for business pre-MBA and pre-law. Many looking for a career in Washington go there. Science facilities are rather poor. Computer facilites are poor. Most of the English Department is embedded in old-fashioned Structuralism. You must adapt socially within the Department, or the degree will be useless as the profs inform colleagues outside the College. The coursework is VERY challenging, largely due to grading by inflexible "curve", but the programs are not valued outside of the State. Here in California, CWM is commonly thought to be a "girls Middle-school somewhere in Vermont. Cafeteria food and football team both rated "worst in the South" by virtually all surveys. |
