Statistical Analyzer:

This community college is by far the worst I have ever heard of, or attended. I have travelled alot and consequently attended 3 other community colleges and one university. The general location is dowtown Richmond, which consists of nothing but ghetto folk and garbage. They try to keep everything "historical" but that is just an excuse to not clean the buildings and surrounding area up. After treking across the highway overpass where you are forced to park (unless you want to pay the city 5 dollars of course), you will come to one single unattractive 6 floor building. Basically, my experience, and many others from the conversations I have had with people, is the same. In every department I am faced with incompetance; financial aid, admissions, testing centers, parking, records, as well as specific academic programs. Specifically I have had experience with the LPN program and the RN program. The inital admission and program progression information they provide is vague and missing important aspects, making students feel they are on the right track for doing prerequisites and admission tasks. Then when it's the appropriate time to speak with a counselor you find out you're missing somethign to be admitted or something was done incorrectly. Then finally, you are admitted to the program and you are put on a waiting list. They tell you it's for 6-18 months, but don't be fooled. You will be sitting on your butt for the full 18 months. Finally you'll be admitted to you first nursing clinic and on your way to endure 4 semesters of hell. That is of course unless something tragic or unfortunate occurs to you or your family. That's correct folks- during orientation you will be told that if you suspect money issues or illness or even death will come to you or your family, it would be best if you sit this semester out. Because they are not going to work with you for any reason. Almost every teacher I have met is the opposite- too accomodating because they are so worn out from working in this hellhole. They constantly give take home tests, let you make up a test weeks after the rest of the class took it, and tolerate cheating and rude behavior from the hoodlums that attend this school. Please do yourself a favor folks- no matter what, do not attend this school or you'll end up being almost done with your program but fed up and disgusted everyday (like me).
