Won several awards and got an amazing post doc, unfortunately one of my professors stole my research when the department asked me to remove her from my committee. I saw a lot of infighting in the psychology and biology departments. Those two departments allow professors to abuse students and only do what is in the department's interests. I saw half of the graduate students in my area leave disgruntled, luckily to succeed in PhD programs elsewhere. I would strongly advise anyone against the new neuroscience program, it looks good on paper but is not nearly as organized as they would like and students are the ones who take the fall. |
