I am also involved in the University newspaper. Brescia's educational quality is superb. We have some of the brightest instructors in their fields. They challenge students to succeed and to work. They don't slop out passing grades to anyone who walks through the door. Faculty and staff are approachable and eager to help rectify any situation, or just to talk on a friendly basis. Although Owensboro is not the hopping nightlife city some students wish it was, it is rapidly developing, and there is always something to do everynight. The activities around campus are also abundant. Groups and organizations are approachable and interesting. The campus activities though, don't see as much attendance as they would like, but that's not because the events aren't fun; it's due to apathetic students that just want to lay around and drink. But not everyone at Brescia is like that. The majority of the student population is intelligent and eager to pursue college aspirations.I recommend Brescia to anyone who wants a TRUE education, not just a lazy, drunken college experience. |
