Good school, lots of good people on campus, Not much to do for minorites (I am Black) so you have to be creative. Town is small and the locals are seem to be pretty narrowminded. Lots on confederate flags around here so be careful (no joke). It takes some getting use to but stay focused on school and you should have no problems. Get with a good group of friend and stay busy. 1.5 hours from dallas, 2 hours from austin and 3 hours from san antonio. Getting involved in organizations is a must. Nursing program has great very good staff. My suggestion is if you are from a city with lots to do and not much of a country boy, think real hard about attending this school if you want to have a fun college experince. However if you just want to get a degree and not worried to much about the college experinence than tarleton is ok. good luck |
