Statistical Analyzer:

AU is the type of place where anybody can fit in. If you're into partying, not a problem. If you're not—also not a problem. DC is a great city to go to school in because there is so much to do.

AU cares about its students, but sometimes they make up random policies that screw over some students.

The biggest downside of AU/DC is housing. The dorm rooms are great (lots of storage). However, there is a HUGE lack of options. There are regular dorm rooms (roommates, common bathroom, etc.) and Centennial hall rooms (2 rooms + shared bathroom) but that's it and they're very expensive for what you get. Off-campus housing is ridiculous as well. DC is a very expensive city when it comes to that. It can be cheaper (if you get a bunch of roommates) but it can also be a lot more expensive.

Students sometimes complain about AU for various reasons (myself included), but deep down I really love it and can't imagine myself going anywhere else.

I think college is what you make it. AU gives you lots of opportunities to be involved and be successful (academically & elsewhere) and it's up to the individual to do something about it.

I highly recommend AU. It's not flawless, but it's definitely a great place to go to college.
