Biggest Complaint: BCIS counselors are a hinderance, the furthest thing from 'helpful'. Get everything in writing - preferably in blood. Degree plans change every couple of years and the counselors never seem to maintain any sort of records. If those who can't do…teach - then those who can't do OR teach…become UNT counselors. The school itself is cool. Nice buildings, dorms were great, student body is cool, etc. Minor issues: The class ratios that are posted (19:1) - I don't have any idea how they can claim that. I generally like the big classes, but just so you know, you'll have 30+ in most classes (most Freshman & Sophomore classses were way over 30). The calc teachers are first year ESL students and explaining calculus when you don't speak English is tricky - everyone takes calc a couple of times. (Beating) |
