Overall my experience at ULV is very positive. I majored in behavioral science which is a combination of sociology, psychology, and anthropology. I graduated in the Spring of 2005. I HIGHLY recommend this school to anyone, especially individuals looking to enter the field or sub-fields of education. Granted, it is costly, but there is financial aid. The faculty are helpful, and responsive. If you ask for help, they will find the time to assist you. To be honest, you will get out ULV what ever you put in. The instructors are top notch but they don't tolerate BS. The class sizes are small, and the school is small. It's a very close knit community where your instructors will know you by name. If they pass you on the street they will speak…especially if you missed class. Granted, there is not a lot to do in La Verne, but there are a lot of cool hangout spots within a few miles of campus. If you want something to do, you can access it fairly easilly. Personally, I beleive that I received a top notch education. ULV is a VERY reputable school and it's highly recognized for it's education department. I landed a good job in higher education shortly after graduating. |
