The business program and pharmacy program are amazing. Florida A&M produces more African American teachers in the US than any other school. Like others have said, there are going to be a lot of people who are not focued on school but just the social life. Most of these people will be in-state, because the in-state tuition is A LOT cheaper than out-of-state. 1 out of 2 people that attend are from the Miami area. The people are relatively friendly. A lot of students are involved in other activities. If you attend here, social life will definitely not be a problem. Your social life will be amazing if you get to know people. As for the cons, the campus could be a little better. The school maintains good maintenance, but the buildings could be in better condition even though they are not the worst. The city of Tallahassee does have some good spots, but definitely not many. It is a medium-sized city so if you are from a big city, visit first. The locals are relatively friendly as well. I haven't had any problems with them. If you are looking for a relatively good school with a great social life, then Florida A&M is for you. The only reason I was half-looking to transfer is because I wanted to attend a school that is more academically inclined. Like I said, but if you attend the pharmacy or business programs, you are looking at top notch programs. |
