Statistical Analyzer:

I am from a suburban area with easy access to NYC. So going to Salisbury was complete culture shock. The people are friendly, but the kind of friendly that's way too sweet and one can get sick of quite easily. The student body in general is completely ignorant and incompetant. I've had to explain words like diplomacy to people in my class. People rarely watch the news or know what's going on in the world. Basically the only news they know involves the price/kinds of cheap alcohol. Which leads me to the only social activity: drinking, which gets boring really fast. Frat parties, though accesable are really lame. Although there are a lot of ignorant people, there are good people, but its a struggle to find them and they're usually a very small percentage of the honors program. The honors program is a joke, quite honestly. I rarely tried and still managed to get B's in my honors courses first semester while involved in multiple extracurriculars.

The professors I had so far are very laid back and relaxed. I loved my professors though not some of the material. They're easy to speak to, and treat you like a peer and adult instead of a inept student. That is one positive to the university.

Services are slow and horrible. I recieved medication from home (4 hour drive away) before I could make an appointment with health services (a 5 minute walk across campus). I changed my major and it has yet to be put in the system. Nothing is ever open or available.

Without a car freshman year, it is impossible to get around if you go in not knowing anyone. The gus bus is the only type of transportation to the mall/walmart/target and its available one day a week, with 6 rounds (an hour apart). Its the most pathetic excuse for public transportation I've ever seen.

In general, the school is in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. If you enjoy alcohol and do not care about the world, this is the school for you. Otherwise, please look elsewhere before you waste valuable time and money on this institution.
