They demonstrated a deep and sincere interest in students and in students going on to do big things. The surrounding "city" didn't offer much when I was there, but there is quite a bit of history in the area: the Underground Railroad went through Salisbury and areas of the Eastern Shore figured prominently in the Civil Rights movement. Still, lacrosse rules the campus culture. If you can focus on your academic experience, though, get involved in academic-related extracurricular activities, and have a fair amount of ambition and drive, you can leave Salisbury fully prepared for graduate school. I went on to a prestigious graduate program in the Northeast and was accepted to an Ivy League school for my doctorate. |
