College helped me by preparing me for teaching in front of others. Even though I knew I wanted to teach children, I learned by teaching to my peers. It prepared me for possibly teaching a Sunday School class or being able to give devotionals. I grew up around children, so I believe I knew how to deal with them. I learned how to correctly discipline in the classroom and how to talk to parents when problems came up. If you know what you want to do with your life, I highly recommend college. I was not a great student and would not go for a master's, but I love teaching and don't think I would be the teacher I am today without my college education.
