BBC is a good school only if you are planning to go into some form of full-time Christian ministry. Basically, if you go to BBC and change your mind, the degree isn't worth much in the "real world" (think factory job). However, they do offer accredited degrees, which is a bonus compared to some Christian colleges.

As for the student life, if you commute, you are nothing on campus—you have no social life at all! Everything revolves around living in the dorms. This is a fundamental flaw; there ought to be more equal social opportunities for commuters as well as those living on campus.

Also, while some students are friendly, the student body overall is "upper class white". Be prepared for kids in Abercrombie with expensive cars whose parents are footing a lot of the educational bill (Seriously, half of the girls in my dorm never worked a day while they were in college). Of course, the popular students are the ones with all the free time because they don't have to work.

The rules are not over-bearing, but the Office for Student Development is still operating in some ways as if it is 1950. The Resident Assistants fill out these little papers on the students every week (at least they did this in the 1990's), where they can write ridiculous things based entirely on their own observations. Every problem is also "read into" way too much—and often interpreted as a spiritual issue when it may not be. Another issue is the girls are treated MUCH more strictly than the guys.

Thankfully, you are free to choose your own church to attend within certain guidelines. They do require "ministry credits". While I understand the concept, why force someone to do ministry? It seems to defeat the purpose in doing it. Just my opinion.

Academically, I found it easy to get A's and B's. Some students had a harder time; so I guess it depends what learning style you have, and what classes you are taking.

The campus is very beautiful, and the dorms have been remodeled recently.

I am all for Christian education, but if I had to do it over again I would opt for a liberal-arts Christian university such as Cedarville or Liberty.
