Although a terrific school for those wishing to transfer, doing above average in classes taken at above 30 in math or other such advanced courses throughout freshman year sets one up for below a 3.0. Beware of this fact. I have completed economics courses at the top 100 business school, history and geography courses at the top 10 Elliot School and intermediate language courses, statistics with the head of the department and have come away with about average or well above it in these courses, as in one or one and a half letter grades higher. Still I have a 2.8 and have no reason to believe I will move on. If you plan on going to graduate school or want to use your degree do not come here, except for business students who only need a 2.7. I am literally debating getting as physically strong as possible and raising my GPA if possible in order to try and join the police or fire forces. This is what happens to an above average student in higher level courses at this school, so beware of the monster within. |
