After spending a week here, you will soon realize that this is not totally true. I feel like Goucher is a continuation of highschool with cliques, drama, and tiny student body. There is nothing to do on campus, that is probably why everyone I know smokes marajuana on a regular basis. It is also hard to get sleep with the constant rusling of MICE in my dorm, yes MICE. Many of the dorms have mice running around throughout the year; the college's idea of fixing this is setting traps in your room. That seems to catch some of them, but then disposing of a bloody dead mouse is really sickening. Paying 40 thousand dollards a year should at least give the students clean rooms without disgusting rodents getting into our trash, clothing and food. There is a lot to do surrounding Goucher, but if you don't have a car, it's pretty hard finding your way out of "the bubble." Most of my friends go to Towson or work with me. Seriously rethink going to Goucher if you are considering it, I am ABSOLUTELY miserable attending this school. |
