I have called College of Charleston trying to get information as well as discuss my options for transfering due to my husband being in the military in this state. I have lived in the state for 2 and a half years - legal resident. The college has hung up on me numerous times because I ask "hard" questions that "they can't answer" regarding transfers. The admissions office simply discourages "out of state students". My husband is defending this country and all they can say is "your status cannot be determined and once you are on military status you'll be on a wait list" - how ridiculous is this? Not only have I lived in this state for 2.5 years but because my husband is DEFENDING THIS COUNTRY I cannot go to college here until the "in state non military resident" gets in first. I would NEVER recommend this college. They are rude, disrespectful and if they don't want to answer your questions about your college goals they hang up on you.
