I thought it would be a fine experience especially since they offered me a scholarship, particularly in the broadcasting side.I am a Baptist, but I really honestly didn't focus on the fact that the students there were members of the Church of Christ, and that the school was affiliated with that denomination.Oh, but what an experience! Not only was a told I was going to hell by others for being a Baptist, but I also experience alot of hidden racism and prejudice there. The financial aid group I believe is also doing alot of things illegal—and this is both to students and faculty. The school is very expensive, and unless you have an absolutely good reason to be on this campus, I would strongly suggest not dragging yourself through the hell I went through—dealing with snooty, self-absorbed, individiuals. Now I will say I did have some good times—but with those that did not conform to some of the close-minded overly conservative ideas of Oklahoma Christian. I am writing this because I want people to do their research. The pictures and the website does look nice and everyone looks happy, but do look closer…because things on this campus are alot more than what they APPEAR to be. I met some good strong awesome Christians here on this campus, but as for the rest of the people on the campus, they as well as the administrative part of the school needs ALOT of work, an OVERHAUL to say the least! |
