If you just go to class and go home when class is over you shouldnt expect to make any friends. I think UCR like many other campuses provide an abundance of opportunities to get involved; there is a club for just about everything. UCR is big on Greek frats, so you can usually find a party to go to on just about every thursday and friday night, if your in a frat or know the right people. If you are really concerned about meeting people, you should consider living on campus your first year, youll make many friends. Professors at UCR are brilliant, they are friendly and will meet with you anytime you need it. Although i think UCR has a number of strengths i am getting tired of the endless construction and the constant tuition hikes. The school is undergoing a major expansion project. They are adding a med school, and a law school, and a new student commons. |
