Attended for only one school year, the worse experience in a college ever. The teachers were unhelpful and rude. The Harbor campus had mold in a large portion when I attended. Dr. Benson was the worse English professor I've ever had, anyone who is going to BCCC, do not take Dr. Benson for English. Dr. Benson taught my class middle to high school English, no college-level English at all and at the beginning of the second week, he did not show up at all. About 95% of the time no sub was assigned to his class and the English Department Head needed to come and tell people to leave early. Then the very last week of class, Dr. Benson shows up and attempts to apologize and makes a claim that most of the class thought was a lie, that he was assaulted on the college campus and couldn't get to the college after the incident. When grades came out, everyone got an F that could NOT be challenged and Dr. Benson came privately to me and another student who was a friend and claimed that he needed to give everyone an F because he couldn't prove if we all came on the days that he was out and there was no sub which was complete BS because everyone signed a sheet of paper and it was handed into the English Department Head. My math teacher did not help anyone and as a result, most of the class received an F as well. Avoid BCCC.
