Because I spent a good deal of time actively involved in Alpha Delta Sigma, worked at the Daily Aztec, and spent time developing a strong rapport with fellow students and faculty, I benefited from strong professional recommendations both during and after graduation. I was making a six digit income within five years of graduation and that was way back in the mid 80's in todays dollars, I can't even imagine what my salary would be! One of my dear friends from SDSU is listed as one of the top 100 most influential women in San Diego while another was given an award for being San Diego's Woman of the Year in Real Estate. If you are planning to remain in the San Diego area to live, i think there are many benefits to attending SDSU. I loved it and made live long friends and I was not part of the Greek system. I had many professionals as guest instructors and I learned a great deal from them. Though my career ended up going in a different direction than my major which was Journalism, I have used the educational foundation and job experience that i gained at SDSU throughout my life. I retired at the age of 26, travelled around the world and am now married with three children, one who will be graduating himself and is currently looking at schools including SDSU. I think my son would get a great education at SDSU and at a prize that is more than competitive,
