The campus is extremely beautiful and your friends and peers make it worth it, although sometimes people can be self-absorbed workaholics here, so find the people who aren't. The school has an abundance of resources but make sure you plan ahead so you can actually make use of them. Advising is generally quite bad - that's probably my biggest complaint. Do a lot of research and asking questions on your own and try your best to figure out your goals early on and then Stanford will get you there. But you got to know what you want first, which can take a while to figure out, especially when the advising department doesn't help you on that discovery. |
