There are different types of people. I am going to generalise and say people in the Meadows school of Arts are the most friendly and open of the SMU students. Most people are majoring in business (or so they say now) and if you have trouble finding a group of people, join a club, really, just like anywhere else. Acadmecially, too, SMU is fine.Aesthetically, SMU is above average. Maintance is always going on. They are always improving the look of the University. Always.Safety is good. SMU provides go karts to take you around the campus late at night and a free taxi cab service to take you from one place back to campus. In addition, there are other luxuries SMU provides for their students. A mini store to buy groceries, free bus/train passes, free wireless internet, free medical services, etc. There is always some conference or something happening on the campus and SMU provides many events for you to network in your chosen profession. Many famous guest speakers from different fields visit the school. It seems there is one or two every month. A few times a band will play on the campus (like Evanescence). Atheletically, SMU is poor in football, fair in basketball, and fantastic in everything else.I recommend coming to SMU if you know what you want because that way you will be able to fully reap the benefits of all the university provides its students. |
