Yes, I have a lot of work and expect to, but then that is what I was looking for in preparation for graduate school. Like most schools, there is a party element here, but those students do not tend to last long, or if they do, they barely sqeek by and seem ilprepared for life after college. Catawba, or any school, can do just so much for any one student. Future success requires networking in your major field. Catawba had some toubles just before I got here, but has made the right decisions since then. (Basically it had a clueless administration previously.) Catawba has some strong programs (environmental sciences, theater for sure, accounting I am told) that are geared for exceptional gifted students, and others that do well for decent students or those who are late bloomers. All and all I have had a good experience and would recommend others to look closely at considering coming here too. |
