NDSU is the proper fit for only a very small number of students. I do not suggest coming here if you are from somewhere warmer, because as there is no tunnel system, it is quite cold walking across campus to class in the winter. As a Zoology major, I was expecting them to gear more towards my interests in Zoology, not the paper cut-out version of course req's. Don't go here if you have any ideas of doing anything off the beaten path. The Biology programs are very frusterating, as even the Freshman classes are nearly impossible to pass, let alone comprehend the material. Most professors are older and very conservative.Considering Fargo/Moorhead has three universities, I figured the night life would be pretty active, even if I'm not a huge partier. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Most of the people here play video games and stay in on the weekends. The campus-sponsored events are boring, and Fargo has hardly anything to do for college students. I'm counting down the days until the semester is over and I switch colleges.The students are very friendly, and making friends was easy, so if you like a very, very small-town low-key life, NDSU might work for you. Don't expect a spontaneous, exciting life past your first couple months, though. |
