I don't understand half of the whiny comments posted on here. I'm a freshman marketing communications major and I love this college. My very first semester I was given two challenging foundation classes in speech communication and research writing that taught me a lot of fundamentals. Then I got into a photo class, which people like to say is impossible until you're a senior, met with nothing but helpful administration when I wanted to change my major, became a board member for the photography organization, whose budget is 10,000 dollars annually supplied entirely by the college. This college is amazing if you're energetic and motivated enough to get a good experience. Being in Boston is absolutely incredible. Again, if anyone says that there's nothing to do here they are blind to the fact that an entire city lies at their feet full of museums, live music, parks, and tons of other activities. The campus has over 75 organizations that do everything from produce movies to save the polar bears, and everything in between. If you know what you want to do and you're passionate about and don't want to just sit on your a$$ waiting for everything to be handed to you, this is the best school for those who want to be in communications programs. It's taught me how to motivate myself, cut through giant quantities of red tape, and has just begin giving me a great education about marketing. My professors have had great real world experience, and are always there for me when I need them. P.s. the study abroad program is absolutely AMAZING |
