Statistical Analyzer:

I would only recommend this school to one group of students. If you have been offered the Bright Flight scholarship grant through Lindenwood, and you plan on living off campus,(at home with parents, OFF campus house or apartment, etc.) You might enjoy LU, Otherwise, I cannot recommend this institution.

While the academics are solid at LU and you can get a decent education, The campus life is completely dead. The dormitories do not allow visitation of the opposite sex, and student centers are not built for students to socialize. since most of the students live in the area, the majority of the people leave campus to hang out leaving LU a ghost town unless there are classes are being held.

If you are thinking about living in campus housing, or a dorm, I urge you to reconsider. First and foremost, this campus is increasingly becoming more dangerous. Since I have been attending, A man was shot in his car just outside of campus, and a women was stabbed in the women's on-campus housing. In addition, LU is a private university, if they want, they are allowed to tell local law enforcement to remain off campus even in some emergency situations. An officer of St. Charles county told me that the university actually asks the department not to patrol the area around LU because the ILLUSION of safety is more important than ACTUAL safety. Sure, there is a police substation on campus, Honestly, I have seen only two patrol cars on campus since.

LU has also taken every opportunity they have been given to prove to me that they care nothing for their students well being, and they seem to do anything they can to grab more money.

IF you are currently speaking with a LU recruiter, be careful you get every promise he or she makes in writing. My recruiter made some promises that turned out to be bold faced lies, and my four year degree will end up costing me thousands of dollars more than my originally "promised" contract.

If you go to LU you will be mistreated, frustrated, and treated like a child. LU will rob you of a good college experience.
