Statistical Analyzer:

I am a transfer student from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and I have to say that SDSM&T is a huge step up from my previous institution. I prefer the smaller campus and more specialized fields. The Greek community thrives, but doesn't over power other communities. There are plenty of things to do both on and off campus, but you do have to search sometimes. Rapid City is about half the size of my hometown, but there is still a lot to do. Movie theaters, shopping malls, a few lakes, the beautiful Black Hills, and plenty of places to eat. The bus system is lacking though, so if you plan on driving yourself around then this school would work well for you.

Classes are personal, and competitive but not too overwhelming and nearly every professor I have knows my name and where I'm from, what I'm studying etc. You aren't just a number here at mines.
